http://worldsoccerreader.com/2011/01/report-michael-bradley-to-join-Galatasaray/Several reports out of Germany are suggesting that American midfielder Michael Bradley is set to move to a Turkish club, thought to be Galatasaray after Borussia Monchengladbach accepted a bid for the young midfielder Friday.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been tracked by several clubs during the January transfer window including Sunderland, Palermo and Galatasaray according to reports. Sporting director Max Eberl confirmed Friday that the club had accepted a bid for the midfielder.
Galatasaray are struggling in the Turkish Super Lig, having taken 26 points from 18 matches. Their eight losses at this point and seventh place standing is a rare place for the Istanbul giants to be. Their poor start got Frank Rijkaard fired very early in the season, and replacement Gheorghe Hagi has found a little bit, but not much more success.
Despite their poor record, Galatasaray have a talented side. However, they’re most talented on the wings and could use a player like Bradley in their fairly thin center of midfield.
Bradley joined Monchengladbach in August, 2008 for an undisclosed fee from Dutch club Heerenveen.
